Once concern has been noted, additional procedures and CPS reporting may yield additional information, such as: 1-CPS reports of prior reports regarding stressors in the home; 2-Police reports indicating previous children being exposed to other family violence in the home; 3-Drug-testing for parents and in-home caretakers that reveal substance abuse issues leading to violence; 4-Scene investigation that can add important information regarding potential accidents and falls leading to head trauma.
